The screen is 15.6” 16:9 HD LCD.
The problem is that the screen display does not appear to be in the 16:9 format. The screen looks “stretched” horizontally.
When I click on the Screen Resolution I see the following
Display 1: Generic Pnp monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. (This is the only option)
Resolution: 1024 x 768 (This is the setting I am using). The only other option is 800 x 600. Both these options are for 4:3 format screens.
How to do I set the screen for 16:9 ? What drivers do I need to download?
Thanks

Hi Brendan
Those are the default drivers that are video chip set independant.
You have mentioned everything about the computer except the video chip maker. You will need that to get the right drivers for the screen. Did you get an installation disk. That would have had the screen accelerator drivers which sometimes are not installed automatically.
If there are no drivers on the computer or an installation disk you will need to get them from the video chip set makers web site.
