Horsie in Ha GSO RC10 and Atik11002M

Taken at Snake Valley Astro Camp on the last night which was by far the best night of the weekend. As usual I had burnt the candle at both ends for the whole weekend and by Monday night I was rather tired. Knowing I had a 5.5 hr drive home on Tuesday Morning I settled for a quick Ha rendition of this frequently shot target.

The image is a compilation of 10 X 10 minute exposures using an Atik 11002M camera, Baader 7nm Ha filter and a GSO 10" RC.

Finishing this run at about 1:00am I adjurned to bed to get some sleep before the long drive home.

Looks good Doug! With some more narrow band blended in, it should look a treat!

Nice contrasty and expansive image Doug. I like the detail around the head. Funnily you will find that even a luminence run produces this sort of detail too. Well done.

I keep coming back to check this shot. It's a real corker! That's gotta be the best/sharpest Ha shot of the area I've ever seen. Well done again.

Thanks Grey, It could use a couple more hours of Ha data then some nice RGB to lift it to another level.

Thanks Mike , the snooze gods won on this occassion. I think I managed about 10 hrs sleep for 5 days. Buggered is an understatement. Alot of the awake time was waiting and hoping for the skies to clear.

Thanks Marc, I didn't think it was that good. I do want to add a bit more data to this one to smooth out a couple of areas.

Bugger you spotted it. Yes there is three areas of concern which will be fixed when I get time. I found them after the initial Posting.

Thanks Alan.
