my first saturn pic for 2006

Tried saturn with my new wooden wedge (for the LX90) and x3 ED barlow. i dont think i got a sweet enough focus will try again another day. pic attached is the result of 600 stacked photos at only 50% quality.

Your focus looks pretty good to me. You've got the onion rings which would perhaps suggest under exposure.

Nice shot though, you've got detail & the CD is certainly visible! I like the way you have it tilted too, makes it more interesting.

Great shot Phil! You should try increasing the saturation during your capture, so you can get some of the natural colour showing (it's very "brown" atm).

It's a terrific result though, well done!

Hi Phillip, focus looks pretty damn good to me. You're using the LPI though aren't you? If so I'd expect it requires different capture settings to the typical Toucam ones. If you are using the autosuite software and capturing frames as individual BMPs, FITS, JPEGS, etc, you might want to give K3CCD tools a try as it allows you to capture avis for process in registax.

Nice image - well done.

cheers,

Nice image Philip. Are you using Envisage to capture images?

What settings did you use for your capture?

nice one

I prefer the browns... tho this ones a little too brown. I have no idea wht the natural colour of the planet is, I have always assumes light browns, yellows and creams.
