why dont you go to spotlight and buya metre of black polar fleece have it sewed into a tube shape with elastic threaded at each end to keep it in place and to prevent dew saturating it place a silver car winscreen sun reflector over the top allthis for about $10.00 i made one for my 16 lightbridge and its now three years old and no worries. The polar fleece takes care of stray light and greatly improves contrast, better than the plastic shroud.........clear skies

Hi Craig,

An example of a 'Spotlight' shroud on a 12" truss Dob.

1.5m of red stretch cotton from Spotlight, 1.5m of black for the inside lining, plus some double sided Velcro from Bunnings for securing it. Total cost less than $20.

Just get the wife, girlfriend, or your mum, to make it up for you; whoever can use the sewing machine best!

Cheers
Chris
