Ngc1566

Last image from last night - NGC1566 15x5mins again with the qhy8 and Newt.

Not a great image but happy to have some decent weather.

That's a really nice shot. Very sharp and you can see a lot of details in the spiral. Might be able to barlow your scope next time out.

Thanks Marc. I will have another go at this object when I have a bit more time - it's one of my favorites. The image scale with the qhy8 doesn't lend itself to galaxies like the DSI II did. I'd hate to see my camera with a barlow - the paracorr and spacer already make it very long.

My second favorite galaxy and you have done a nice job on it to bring out the faint extensions.

Lovely little Galaxy Peter, Looks like it is spinning very fast. You could try a Median filter on the background to reduce the dappled effect a bit,
