Yeah these privacy laws are really driving me nuts. Thieves are protected by them and they know it. Last year someone used my CC details at Sydney Airport to fly to NZ. Took me 2 months to contest the charges,
prove that it wasn't me who flew and try sorting it out bouncing between Qantas and StGeorge security services, both sides saying "we can't disclose this information to you" when I asked questions about the names of the persons who did the booking to pass the info to the police. And I'm like "hey!? I'm the one who got robbed here!..." When the cops got involved it moved forward really quick though...
