Helix with Astrograph

Hi all, Got the Helix last night with Takahashi 160mm F3.3 Astrograph. This image is 20 exposures taken with Astro 40D. One image is the full FOV and the other is a crop.

not a bad image and i am jealous of the data you have! you have a fair bit of background gradient in the image you processed, could you try removing it, i think it will bring out the outer loop much better.

Very nice Lester, Pretty popular target at the moment being so high in the sky. This little scope does a very nice job on a target like this.
Well done Mate.

Thanks David and Doug for your comments. I will be getting a light box made to reduce the vignetting and hope that will also reduce the gradient. All the best.
