it is the season for exotic diseases.....

and i have had a beauty which has laid me out this week, and i am off most of next week as well. so far both the hospital and the Doc haven't named it but it gave me a ambulance trip to hospital and a week and a half off work - not bad for an unnamed bug? I thought it was German measles, but it has symptoms of scarlet fever, either way its not pretty, but then neither am i LOL.

i am fatigued, suffering blistered lips, full body rash and have had lots of iv antibiotics and oral anti biotics pumped into me - and it all started with a sniffle which i thought was due to an alergy......

ISSAC isnt looking like i will be there this year wholly due to this

That's no good Houghy. That'd be the "Achtung Red Hough Fever" no doubt.

I hope you're well enough to make it to IISAC, but I'll understand if you don't make it. Its no fun being there when your sick... actually its no fun being sick is it?

Take it easy!

Al.

I suspect it's due to you not having bought anything in recent times.

This is what happens when you don't continually purchase astrophotographic goodies.

Get better, soon.

Hi Dave

I hope that you are not in too much discomfort and wish you a full and speedy recovery. It doesn’t sound much fun – can you read, watch “how to” CCD imaging DVD’s and do other at-home stuff to help pass the time?

Cheers

Dennis

It's not Shingles is it? There is a bit of an unannounced epidemic of it going around at the moment. It's amazing, never in my 42 years had I actually heard of someone having Shingles, then in the last month, five family or friends have had it.

Anyhoo, it doesn't sound like you're having much fun. Get well soon!

Cheers,
Jason.

So i gathered them and put them up for sale today. that buggered me just doing that so how on earth i can get ready for IISAC has me guessing. dont get me wrong, i love the event, but i fear i couldnt even last a day

I can sympathise. I was next to useless at IISAC last year with the flu. You know I have to be sick to go to Lostock and not swim!

I hope you're feeling better real soon!

Get well soon Dave I share your pain I'm not having much luck either with a series of misadventures and surgery and now in the last week a kidney stone of all things, feels like I have gone 15 rounds with George Foreman everyday

Hi Dave

Hope you are well soon. At least it is something that you can recover from.

Now if you catch Aperture fever however there is no known cure, just treatment that keeps on getting more and more expensive.
