The Fellow in the Photo is Scott Aka: "The Bushman", one of the Engineers I work with.
A Dozen of us were on the Camping Trip & I was the Candid Photographer !
Should be a heap of entries this month - great subject Dave.
Thanks. I thought if I ever got a chance to pick a topic Water would be my first chioce. My second would have been insects!!
Plenty of people will submit a photo I hope.
I hope to see a water fall or two. I love them
Stunning shot Chris, would be a good entry too! You must have a great one up your sleeve
Thanks Mike, just in case anyone doesn't recognise it - part of Niagara Falls.
Ive got a fair number of waterfall pics and imagined there would be a few entered so thought Id go for something different.
Ive had two in mind, but just decided which one, taken on the same trip one of my personal alltime faves. Hard to trim down to 150kb and not feel dissappointed.
Great shot Chris, lovely colours. Is it some minerals in the water causing that colour? Just beautiful.
Nice shot Paul, lovely reflections.
John, last time you submitted a B1/B2 pic and it got a lot of votes I got the feeling you wished you hadn't entered it because it was a joke?
While I don't feel strongly either way, the idea of the competition is to display your best photography - posting "joke" images sort of degrades it for me. But I'd like to hear what others think.

My understanding :-
The lake is formed from glacial melt so it contains finely ground up rock called glacial flour suspended in the water.
This strengthens the faint blue colouring that is inherent in any body of water by increasing the scattering of this colouring back to the surface, some of the light is also shifted towards the green, hence the turquiose colour.
