Saturn Fever

Hi All,

Saturn from 2-1-06. About 60 LPI frames acquired, stacked in Autostar. Post processing in Photoshop.

Taken at prime focus of the 8" LX200GPS.

Share and enjoy.

Stuart, nice start. Little over processed on your image. Might I suggest you use less aggressive settings on your post processing.

Good to see your getting into it though. Keep em coming.

Good stuff Stuart, if you've got a barlow somewhere in your armoury you'll find it does wonders for the image scale and detail you can wring from these orbs

cheers,

Very good Stuart! Same scale as I am currently stuck with.

Looks like you went overboard in the wavelettes though

I am not familiar with Autostar, but try stacking again and go lower on the wavelette settings, then in PhotShop bring the brightness down a tad and the contrast up a half a tad.

Here is your current pic with the brightness dropped a fraction and the contrast raised a fraction. I brought the blue level up about 5% too. Hope you don't mind
