Question Where is your Observing site

OK ... we have done the very popular "What mod's have you made"
So now tell us about your observing site, what's good about it & perhaps show us a picture

Here is our club (Gove Amateur Astronomers) DSS between the airport & the mine.
Not perfect dark skies but close enough to town that people will still travel from town to get there.
The site is marked with a red square.

Neighbour won't let me shoot it out.

Goddamn Ken that was some attachment! I've resized and reduced quality to meet the image guidelines.

Use any photo editing software to reduce to 800x600 or smaller, and depending on the program, when you save as jpeg you can choose the quality - choose a quality where the saved file is less than 60k.

Try irfanview - it's free (just google it).

Sorry Mike but you must have changed the size whilst I was trying too. You may have to check it again.

I have worked out how to get it smaller! Thanks.

Very good .. I like the roll off roof observatory.
Having all you gear set up ready to go must be good.
Little effort required = more time observing

My most common viewing area is my backyard but the trees are a problem!! Get a narrow view to the north, south east and east. West is a wipe off as I have to go out the front and there are two street lights there

My dark sky site is Narrabri where my family live. No neighbours for at least 3km
