I love the planets in the evening sky although my west is only half way reasonable. Houses in the field are par for the course given the urban nature of my home. Although I try an minimise the intrusion of power lines and TV antenna.
The first image posted was taken a few doors down, but I am trying to get a reasonable shot with my pecan that featured in the second. Its a great tree in the winter after it loses its leaves.
The 10 - 22 lens is great. I borrowed Terry's last year at the QLD Astrofest and have wanted one ever since. Fantastic field of view for astro, and for crowds... Did Rigil's sports day with it. I bought it for Anne-Louise so it is her lens and I get to use it sometimes

Looks like it is clear again tonight so I will try again. Landscape is probably the best but If I want the Pecan I have to sacrifice as I really don't like too many cables and antennae.
