Close planets Thursday 28th

After a reminder from Paul (in observational section) I ventured outside to capture a few pics.
Had clear skies for a change so planets were very clear in the western sky and looking awesome.
Took a few pics, and very warm ... yes is North Qld!! So extremely hot and sweaty when back inside after adventuring into the overgrown garden for the damn cactus shot.
Oh, at 8pm we are sitting on 23' and 87% humidity!!

I didnt even notice that Leon, well spotted,!

Watch out though, coz next month those TWO Mars' will MERGE to form ONE SUPER MARS which will be as BIG as the moon in the sky.....sometime around 27th August @ 12:30am.....SPREAD THE WORD!

Just finishing up on my yearly warning email now.

Liz, take a panadol, a lie down and perhaps a little nap for you....

Cheers

Chris

Great capture Liz, finally got some clear skies in Brissy tonight. Posted the result in another threat. The conjunction in mid August should be quite nice to observe/image.

Thankyou Stephen, Trevor and Tony.
Wasnt sure you would like it Trevor, as no palm trees.
Yes, Tony, that conjunction looks good for mid August.
