This is a beautiful collection of amazing images from the Hubble Space Telescope of planetary nebulae. It is splattered with a copious number of images of PNs …. a truly remarkable book (179 pages). Sun Kwok is an expert in this area, and provides an excellent and in-depth look into these amazing celestial objects.

Along the lines of the introductory paragraph of this book ……. “Using more than 100 spectacular images from the Hubble Space Telescope, this book explores the beauty of the most mysterious celestial objects in space, planetary nebulae. The mystery begins at the end of the star's life, when it wraps itself in a cocoon by spilling out gas and dust. Sometime later, a butterfly-like nebula emerges from the cocoon and develops into a planetary nebula. These newly formed structures are complemented by a kaleidoscope of colors emitted by glowing gases. I am the original owner, and it is in excellent condition, and the jacket is in very good condition (just the slightest bit of wear on its top edge, but only near the binding. Pages are fresh, and this book has been stored well to reflect this.
