M8 Narrow Band

Sort of got a result from my new NB filters. Here's 2 images using the data combined using different techniques.
Sorry but I've forgotten the colour mapping I used

The first image combines the NB files in a RGB image and uses Ha as Luminance.
The second uses clipping masks and a Syn Luminance created from all the data.

Very colourful either way

The second one is a winner for me. Not used to seeing M8 in those particular colours though. Certainly makes a change from the run of the mill dslr shots.

LOL @ Fred ... you're a card

Different is the word

I think S2 is mapped to blue looking at all those blue stars and Ha must be red. But shooting from horizon to horizon is new around here

Congrats on that first NB effort Robin.
Bit wild, but I expected far wilder from an early effort to be honest!

Cheers guys, yep the second one is far better. That technique affords way more control over mixing the data although it's still not easy to work out exposure settings in the first instance. Looks like a bit of trial and error required there.
