I paid for a 6" refractor this morning.

Not quite as exciting as it sounds though, just a 150mm f/5 skywatcher - fancy black diamond paint work though.

Yeah, but we had some really nice, stable Autumn skies so I can cope with viewing between squalls in the winter. It's good to have some really cold weather to knock off the mosquitoes.

Yep, The weather here has been an absolute shocker!! Been non stop clouds for months. Barely had a few hrs of stars about a month ago and that's all!!
Can't remember previous years being so dull for so long.
