Swan song...

A reprise of my earlier H-alpha shot...it's a rather large image (1.4 meg)

Not sure where I'm going with this mosaic, but a few more panels probably won't hurt

Nice work Peter. Mosaics...the pinnacle of deep sky imaging with their wide field views and sharp resolution. They never cease to amaze, yet are one of the easiest ways to lose your sanity whilst processing. Dare you to keep going right until you reach M8.

The nice thing about shooting through the FSQ is guiding is a no-brainer.

M8? Hummm. Then I might have to do it all again in colour!

Hi Peter,

That's a pretty average picture!

If you've got a Hubble in the backyard.

But c'mon, all this short fl stuff, zoom in, get large. If you're not going to use the RC, donate it to a worthy cause!

Cheers
Stuart

Hi Peter, very nice indeed.
perfectly round stars to the edge of field, and good all round contrast, although I would have liked to have seen a wee bit more contrast to M16 just to bring out the towers more... imo of course.
Any possibility of a larger version.... just to get the feel of the res with this camera and the Q without the compression.

Colour coming I expect??

BTW, have you sold the Ferrari for a Morrie, egad man, what were you thinking

Why does no one like my first car avatar?

The F-car is doing just fine....it now has a Kevlar twin plate clutch, Hill Engineering pedals and billets and some smick deep dish rims will Pirelli P-zero 295 x 19" rubber (see attached)

But, to be frank the Oz ethos is such that F-car rhymes with someting else ending in ...ker, not that I care, but.....so I figured Morrie's lack of chutzpah is not a bad approach.

As for a colour mosaic....maybe...but it would be a very long term project...and still I have a way to go to get to M8 in H-Alpha

.......if memory serves I got a whole set of Michelins for the Morrie back in '74 for $95.00. The P-Zero's were just a bit more than that. Each.
