Smile Hi everyone

Hi everyone, I just thought i would introduce myself. Im Brendan and I've caught the astronomy bug. I've always had a great interest in everything astronomical and now at this stage in life I can afford to persue this interest! I'm very new to telescopes but i've had some really great nighs observing already. I've found observing is a real skill and gets better with practice. I would be interested if there is many observers on this forum in the central queensland area and if there are any clubs etc in the area?

Hi Brendan,

Welcome to IIS!

These links might be helpful, although the first one links to an old page (2001). Hopefully the societies might still be in action.

The second one is a recent posting from IIS.

Hope this helps.

Molly.

Thanks Luigi. Yep Liz, had a really good night. Plenty of globular clusters I haven't seen before and I finally tracked down the Trifid neb!
