Mars just now 18 Dec 05 - better seeing

Hi All, seeing a little better tonight, say just above average 6/10, and the skies were cloudless.

Was able to capture a little more detail than last few previous nights, but am having to extend the extension tube to keep up the image scale. The attached was 750 frames from 2000 in registax with an LR deconvolution run in Astra Image 2 - this revealed more detail but also introduced a strange "rill like" artefact near the right edge.

Took nearly ten avi's so hopefully with some groping around tomorrow might improve slightly on this.

cheers,

That is pretty cool Rob, especially as the 'seeing' was only 6/10.

Yep, poor old Mars is on it's way away from us
