ToUcam Schiller

Hi Guys,

Here's a ToUcam shot of the Schiller region of the moon I took on Dec 13 (first night out with the TouCam). Prime focus, autoexposure, 10 frames per sec, 640 x480, forgotten how many frames I stacked , unsharp masked only.

The elongated crater of Schiller (bottom right) shows the ridge along the centre of the north west end of the crater. West (left) of Schiller are Phoclylides and Nasmyth. Note the prominent shadow from the high peak where the eastern edge of Phocylides overlaps Nasmyth. Shadows on the south eastern edge fo Phocylides bely high walls in this area. Centre left is the crater Schickard. Schickard A,B and C are readily visible as is the colour variation in the floor of Schickard. Drebbel is prominant just above Schikard with it's brightly lit western wall. Lacus Excellentiae (Lake of Excellence) is at top left, with Pallus Epidemiarum (Marsh of Epidemics) at top right. Below left of Schiller is the Schiller-Zucchius Basin.

Al.
