New image site: New Member

Hi Everyone,

We have recently had a new member to IIS, Ken.

Ken is an experienced astrophotographer who does some great work.

He is a bit shy, so I decided to let everyone know about his new web site.

http://users.dragnet.com.au/~altairalpaca/index.html

Check out his latest image. A stunner of the tarantula!

Cheers

Tony I doubt that he is shy, he just does not want to leave that unbelievable scope alone.
Welcome Ken, I congratulate you on your efforts. I hope you enjoy this site.

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome. Thanks Itchy for dobbing me in......

The scope's not as big as the picture makes out. That picture is about 6 years old, the telescope now has a new home in a bigger, better designed observatory. Hope to have some more recent photos of my equipment on my website in the very near future. Looking forward to meeting some of the members at the star party at Locstock Dam next month. I don't live far from there.
Clear skies

Hi Ken,

Welcome to the group. Great to see Tony was successful in talking you into signing up. It will be good to catch up again.

Are you bringing the 18" scope or the ED 80 to Lostock ? It really really doesn't look that big and heavy

CS-John Bambury

PS: Besides the 18" scope could you also bring some home brew along to Lostock please
