Hi Geoff,

There is a lot of relevant and useful info to be found on the internet, and a good starting place for me was Joe Garlitz's webpage:

http://eoni.com/~garlitzj/observ.htm

Towards the bottom of the page are some very good links. Make sure that you check out the Desert Domes website too.

Chris

Geoff, I found a nice plywood plan a very nicely shaped dome, I can't find the site, but I have the files and images still, if you want them send me a PM with your email and I'll send you the files zipped.

Thanks to those that took the time to reply - any help is much appreciated. Originally I was going to buy a dome from the USA but recently I purchased a Mewlon 250 and that got me thinking - it cost over NZ$3,000 just for GST and freight -what I would have to spend just to get the dome here would go a long way to building it locally.

Cheers

Thanks all - I have had a look at some of the examples and ideas - a plywood geodome looks like a real possibility at this stage.
