Horsehead with 20DA by Stan Smith

HI Guys,

This image was done by Stan Smith who is on the 20DA Yahoo forum group....I got permission from Stan to post this image.

I really like it..alot.

Image taken with an 80ED

Imaged horsehead with the 20Da this past Friday night. This one consists of 40 images @ 5 minute exposures. Raw to FITS conversion, alignment, stacking, and processing done in ImagesPlus. Acquired images using DSLRFOCUS. Final touchup in Photoshop CS2.

Does that look familiar or what....I just need to learn all the software now.

I have also given Stan a link to this post so he may even make a comment.

Just remember guys, you dont need a 20Da to taker images like that.

I took this one at South Pacific Star Party 2005 using my self modified Canon 300D and a 102mm refractor with a series of unguided 3 min images.

Its not quite up there with stans as it is only about 3/4 of his exposure time, but its pretty close
