If you use the ASCOM Driver for Temma Mounts by Takahashi, the Driver author, (Chuck Faranda) has just released the following update which I note fixes a Southern Hemisphere issue:
Cheers Den, I have been in communication with Chuck for a while, as I initially thought the driver didn't force the mount into southern hemisphere mode (using software like TheSky), but it did anyway.

I’ve never experienced that particular problem with Chuck’s ASCOM Driver as I usually select the option to “Ask on start up” and then synchronise on a star when I’m running SkyTools as my planetarium program.
