Mate gets 5th in Paris-Roubiax

I've mentioned before to watch out for an up-n-coming cyclist called Benjamin King. Well Ben now rides for Armstrong's Live Strong under 23 team and he rode Paris to Roubiax yesterday.

Ben jumped straight into the first and only day-long break. With about 50km to go, Taylor Phinney (Ben’s team mate) rode across the 3 minute gap from the Pelo to the break. Ben then rode on the front through the remaining road and cobble sectors to keep the Pelo from catching and to give Taylor a break until the kick near the end.

A classic leap-frog tactic.

Taylor won Roubaix and Ben took 5th place.

Cycling News Article.

The breakaway forms.
Ben on the cobble stones.
Taylor takes the win.
