Question which forum?

Dear fellow members,

I have found two amateur astronomy forums in Australia; "Astronomy Online" (AO) first and then this one ("Iceinspace").

The Australian amateur astronomy (AAA) community is probably small enough to be catered for by one national forum.

Are there more AAA forums around? This forum seems more active than AO. Is this the best one? Your unbiased opinion please!!

Both forums have their merits Janos, but I reckon this forum has more of em than that other forum. The layout of iceinspace is much more user friendly than AO. But there will always be something new to discuss in both forums with varying opinions and very interesting viewpoints. Also, this forum has an active moderator, namely Mike, whereas they are pretty much silent or non-existent on AO. And lastly, iceinspace has better smilies

This forum has been more active because a lot of us used to be active on the AO forums

There are no other major Australian forums that I'm aware of however I did stumble across a link to the ASNSW discussion site but didn't get a chance to look at it so I don't know if it's just for their members.

Ha! I forgot I was also in AO's Forum.

I think the last time I was there was a
few days ago. Been too busy in here where it's better.
2 forums aint too bad. Some interest groups have hundreds of forums, but too confusing.

I am also in Rugby League forums and there are hundreds of them, about 80 in Australia alone.

Got some over there at AO who haven't signed up here yet. (have to go get them!!)

as silvie said, most of us are from the AO forum. I came here because the AO forum is often down for lengthy periods.
