M8

1 hour through the ED80 under the light of the silvery moon. ( )
Canon 20d @ iso 400
A mix of different length subs due to iffy guiding.
Darks and flats taken.
I'll be building on this one over time.
I used the "levels" function in Maxlm DL, I like it better than the one in CS3.
The rest of the processing was done in Paint Shop Pro 8.

Nice image, excellent focus. I was also imaging with a DSLR last night under a 70% moon, roll on the next new moon weekend

Looking good JJJ. The sky background looks nice and natural. How do you set the blackpoint?

LOL I didn't.
Not this time. I usually set it in Curves then fade it back to suit.

To be honest I'm not all that happy with this image. There's so much room for improvement. But that won't come until there's more data. Can't wait for new moon.

JJJ,
Looks pretty good to me for iffy guiding.

Great image in its own right, but definitely a good foundation for more work as the Lagoon season progresses

Nice one JJJ - a solid foundation to build on. Just keep throwing all your money at it.
