What a great FOV Greg

Nice colours and composition

This looks just a little flat and harsh to me though...it doesn't have that softer glowing sorta look that looks so good with this area..?

Still, nice work

Mike

Its easy to get a lolly colour going in this area and I have made that mistake before so I tried to keep it more muted this time.

You getting all touchy feely mate? I understand what you mean. I did not do any deconvolution for that very reason. I think there may be some work that could be done to soften it a tad. I understand.

I did spend quite a while adjusting the camera angle rotator to get the 2 items level and roughly centred in the image.

Simple, the last exposure was blue and that was at about 5:29am and dawn was approaching and that sub had too much dawn light in it so I rejected it. Not because of any formula or anything.

Greg.

Thankls Daniel.

I just did a repro and posted it to the same link. It is now as Mike pointed out a bit softer and a bit more glow something I also thought it needed. A bit of selective sharpening along the way of the earlier version was too much for a widefield. I prefer this version and is how I envisioned it would be.

Greg.

Yeh that's a bit better Greg. I think the high level of shrinking you have imposed for web display may not be helping here either...?

Nice one Greg. The big chip gives a huge field with the FSQ with the reducer fitted. I haven't used the reducer yet but must give it a go.

Well done.

There is always a drop in image quality coming off the monitor at 50 odd megabytes down to 2.4mb or less. Perhaps a larger file is possible. This one is bigger than normal at 2.4mb.

Yes the reducer and chip gives a massive FOV with relatively good resolution.

Yeah whack it on. I think you'll like the results. I have also seen the 8300 chip work well with this reducer. The smaller pixels are well suited to the faster scope.
