Thumbs up International Biodiversity Day

In the week leading up to International Biodiversity day on the 22 May
the BBC has released some photo's of New Species of animals found in Indonesian Papua.

I wonder how much has been lost before it was even discovered.

I worked at Ok Tedi in PNG a few years ago, and every Sunday I would take off into the bush. There was a good walk just out of town - vertically upwards, but, yes, what fabulous stuff I saw, lots of funny looking plants with vibrant coloured fruit, vines, and burbling streams and waterfalls with crystal clear water. BEAUT!!
