Rainbow connection, A chicken and a Doghouse

I have absolutely no idea how this happened last night but i have a severe rainbow in the image of IC2944. I dont know how it got there but it did? also did a crop of the area to minimise the effect.

IC2944 is a 3h20min shot of 5 min shots through the 127ED iso800 cooled canon 40D running at -10C some high cloud and coastal heavy cloud (which was actually to the same side as the centre of the rainbow with some lightning). Stacked in DSS and Processed in Pixinsight 1.6

Interference

Looks like an interference effect, like a soap bubble. Could be from an off field star? Nice image though and looses nothing by being cropped (IMHO)

David,

Excellent! I had a similar ringing effect in my version of this, but, it was centred on lambda Centauri itself. Kind of looked a little cool so left it in.

Focus looks spot on according to the mask!
