Young kids at Lostock

Hi folks,

I'm seriously considering coming to Lostock and finally seeing a proper dark sky at my first star party. Quick question though - I'd like to bring my wife and 4yr old son, but am worried my little one might be starved of young company. Can we expect many little kids there?

PS - Don't worry - he's a great kid, and won't pull everyone's scopes down or shine a torch in your eyes!

regards, mike

Hi Mike.

There'll be other kids there..

ausastronomer is brining his 9 year old son for all 3 nights
Andrew Broadhurst will have 3 kids there (14/6/4 year olds) for all 3 nights
Rod is bringing his 2 sons (7 and 4) though he's only staying 1 or 2 nights
I *may* be bringing my family, but not sure yet.

There may be others that haven't booked yet.

There's a swimming hole to play in, and lots of open space to run around and wear themselves out so they go to sleep early

Hope you can make it.

Hello evo.
If your son likes the water you won't get him out of that lovely swimming hole, just what you need on those hot summer days. Glad to see your coming.

Hi evo! My 4 year old Noah and my 7 year old Jack will love to play with your 4 year old. We're going to be there on the Friday night, all day Sat, and Sat night. We'll head home on Sunday morning. See you there!
