Teleconvertors

Does anyone know if the Canon or any other brand Teleconvertor work's on an ED80....I know their designed for L series lense's but will they fit a T-adapter.

Just curious if I wanted to throw a 1.4x on my ED80 to get the focal length up near 900mm.

I don't think it will Tony. I've tried to use my teleconverter on all my scopes, and no dice. Just didn't want to work. Strange really considering the camera works fine on its own but not with the converter

Again folks the teleconverter has a chip and if there is no 'approved' lens on the TC you get Error 99.Cover the electrical contacts with glad wrap or a thin insulator (condom)between the camera and teleconverter.

yes you can if you use the T-ring adapter and the end off one of these, a meade variable tele-extender. The lower end cap and silver sleeve screw out and will screw directly into th T ring adapter. You can then insert the camera into the barlow.

Thing is, vignetting could be a problem with this setup

Maybe a 2 inch barlow would be better.
