Hi all,
been a few reasonable nights, and this object being well placed.
Have had some fun with things breaking down and trying new setups but this is all part and parcel as you know.
Didn't overly saturate and really only used the Ha data to enhance the HII regions. Couldn't sharpen the stars a great deal due to conditions seeing wise being a bit mushy with dew.
This is probably the last image with my H916 as a new camera will be arriving soon. It has been a great work horse though.
Perhaps I should have tried for M17.. swan song... you know.

If you like to take a peek, here's the link to my front page

Looks like you folks in the east would have had the nice high pressure we've had here, hope you got out.

All the best
Rich

Nice image Rich - colours look natural and I love the contrast with all the dark nebulosity!

That's a beauty Rich. Want to try this up close too when I get the AO delivered.

Thanks for that David. I've imaged this one before and always it can be interesting to process since there are quite extreme contrast variations.

Cheers Marc! I'm not overly happy with the lack of crispness to my stars.
Still, a larger chip and better nights are coming....
Oooo adaptive optics.. nice. Thinking of larger apertures ???? Refractor/ Reflector....
Guess when all's said and done though, it all comes down to the conditions, but an AO will certainly help... look forward to when you get it up and running!

Thanks Doug! I've been hangin' around looking, amazed at all the great images every one is pumping out here.
Had a bit of an Autumn reshuffle/ upgrade in the observatory... and waiting for the new camera.... ho hum.... 'and the waiting is the hardest part' (T.Petty)

Thanks guys for taking the time to comment,
Appreciated

All the best
Rich

Thanks very much for that Daniel.
A few things not great about it, it was one of those nights last night, had a fleeting thought about grabbing the ax and putting it through the whole lot...
Lucky my patience lasted and was able to regain my composure to get the colour.

All the best
Rich
