Smile Couple of meteors

Popped outside for 2 hours this am to check out the Eta Aquarids.
Between 4 and 5am, I saw about 12 meteors, of which 10 were EQs. Beautiful and clear, though a Moon positioned pretty close to Aquarius, and a couple of meteors literally 'dropped' from the Moon.
pic 1 - a satellite travelling down through Lyra, then a meteor whizzes through from the right of pic.
pic 2 - eta Aquarid through Lyra
pic 3 - Scorpious cos it was looking mighty fine

Nice one Liz. I was up around the same time waiting for a -7 flare (didn't happen) but saw a couple of good EAs. It was a nice time to be out

Heya Liz,
I think I saw the same satellite and EA you took a pic of!
I couldnt stay out too long at one time ( about ten - fifteen mins at a time) cause I was working
I only counted 4 in 40 mins!
Very disappointing!
This morning Maybe?

Thank you all for the kind comments.
It is so hard to trying to capture meteors, and all comes down to luck. You can have the camera aimed at one area of the sky, and the meteors are whizzing by above, and behind. Great to get a couple of them, but the Moon was a bit of a hindrance.
It is a beautiful time, pre dawn, but soooo hard to get outa bed!!

Really like #2. Cool shot with the leaves in front of the starry background.
