This is my other life, very active volunteer firefighter. Its great to be able to do something for the community at large.

After what seems like ages we are being upgraded to structural capability, which means breathing apparatus, which also means no beard!!

The training lately has been so intense I've almost forgoten what home looks like.

Its been so long that my loverly wife Margaret has forgotten what I look like under the fuz. So next time you see a pic of me it will be smooth as the proverbial babies you know what.

I too am a volunteer firefighter. Our bunch only got its picture on the news when a milk-truck hit us, and then only the unit!
