Losmandy Titan

A request for Titan owners: I've placed an order and now we wait: but while waiting, I'm planning the necessary mods to my pier and Obs roof. I'm buying the mount without tripod and understand that a collar will be needed to seat it on the pier's adjusting plate. Could someone with a Titan please run a tape measure from the point at which the pier sits on top of the base collar up to the mid-point of the saddle. I'm trying to get a sense of the overall height of the saddle above the base and from that to try to CAD out the likely clearances needed for the big OTA of my C14.

My existing pier is 920 above ground/floor level so I'm expecting to have to get the oxy out and drop that by as much as 300. The alternative is to start cutting and re-welding the roof and that's not a pretty prospect. The problem is I'm putting a C14 and an ED127 on the Titan so roof clearance could well become an issue.

Peter.

Thanks Robin. Crazy thing is that the plan doesn't show an internal diameter. Also, it is obviously designed to sit on tripod like the Meades and SYntas - hence the central hole arrangement in the base. That wouldn't be necessary if you were welding/bolting it to a pier adjusting/levelling plate though.

Isn't 7.0 the OD and 6.5 the ID, dunno if it's inches or what though.
It came from here and they are talking inches -> http://webpages.charter.net/dware1/Projects/

It looks like a copy of the real one which is for a meade tripod/pier.
