Saturn with moons Apr 25

If you look real close you can see the tiny storms! Photography was hell on wheels with wind gusts and fast moving low clouds. But you couldn't just walk away from the decent seeing. Now it's our turn for miserable astro weather so it will be later next week before we get another shot.

Nice Image Dave & Gail,

Very nice resolution but on my monitor it looks too yellowish, not the nice balance that was in you previous post. Just as a thought, have a look around at a good Saturn from Bird or Damian Peach and when you find something you like, use that as a comparison to minimize the swings in colour from session to session.

Dave, the active SED's storms we are tracking are at approx CMIII 15 degrees and are not in this image. They are drifting west in longitude.

Regards
Trevor

That's another good image. Nice contrast between the different bands.

Dave & Gail

A nice catch with the moons. Something for me to aim for.

Cheers
John

Thanks, what a lovely image!
I haven't really had a good look at Saturn this season, so I do appreciate the images posted here.

You're right! Me thinks a little less saturation is in order here. The color that I get from the original RGB Photoshop combo is always far too yellow from where I want to go. More fiddling with color balance is required.
