I was able to get in some imaging today after a two week break - yeah!
The first is a region of significant magnetic activity (not a numbered region due to the lack of visible sunspots) and the second is a filament that a few days ago was a nice prominence on the SE limb - I think the one Dave imaged recently.
Nice pics, Matt - I just came in from admiring these two features!
Because of its curvature and proximity to the limb, that filament has a lovely 3D quality to it. Meanwhile the unnumbered active area is still enormous, with lots of tiny detail around what looks like a great rent in the solar surface: you've captured it well. The increasingly bright part at one end may even be developing into a focus of the activity.
Great detail as usual Matt, glad the wx finally broke for you. yeah thinks thats the flat prom I got a couple a days ago, its really standing out as a fil
Thanks for the kind words - here are todays versions of the same areas.
I have included yesterday's images for comparison of the changes. Hope you enjoy!
