Fireball Wednesday night 14/4/2010

In todays news there's sightings of a really big fireball seen about in the States on Wednesday about 10pm.

I saw one on Wednesday night about 6pm AEST - obviously a different one but possibly part of the same meteor shower. The one I saw was looking north and heading towards the horizon and dimmed out suddenly about 15 deg above the horizon. Was moving pretty fast and was about as about as big and bright as the street light about 100m away. From when I saw it it lasted about 5 seconds and covered about 30 degrees in the sky. If it didn't fizzle out when it did I would've expected to hear a report of an impact somewhere.

Did anyone else happen to see it?
