Solar ejection on the 17th of April

Hey everyone,
looks like we are in for a big one! Not sure how a glancing blow could affect communication but let's hope it won't cause too much damage if it does anyway!

Thanks for the update, Paul.

I was lucky enough to get a 10 minute look at that massive eruptive prom/CME through my PST, before the Perth clouds closed in. Spectacular - the biggest I've seen in several years of looking!

An aurora australis display sure would be nice (he said hopefully )
