Natural Bridge, Springbrook

Hi all,

Inspired by RobF's images posted last month, I took the family for a day trip to Natural Bridge last weekend. The forecast had been for overcast conditions, but unfortunately it was sunny when we were there, which made it very contrasty for photography. Still, I took a few images and have posted the best ones here. The first 2 are of natural bridge, and the last is the Numinbah Valley just near Natural Bridge. I had a go at processing these using Lab colour mode in Photoshop - hopefully I haven't pushed the saturation too high.

Anyway, thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice pics, Stephen!

I took some shots very similar to the second image a few weeks back. As you mentioned, the contrast was extreme. A couple of my attempts at HDR images didn't turn out too badly. I'll post some if you're interested in seeing them.

BTW, this is my first post as a new forum member. Nice to meet you all

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Ric, and welcome to IIS!

And yes, I'd be interested to see you HDR shots so do post them. I also took a series of exposures with HDR in mind, but haven't processed them yet.

Cheers,
Stephen

Here's my favourite of the Natural Bridge HDRs. I have only done a handful of HDR images so far, so I'm sure there's room for improvement

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks, Stephen. It's a bit more natural looking than some of my others attempts. I'm trying to get away from the radioactive look

Cheers,
Rick.
