The Rho Ophiuchus Nebula Complex Mosaic Start

I managed to collect two panels of the Rho Ophiuchus region a few nights ago after the Moon set. More data is needed as it is a bit noisy when the dust is made more visible. The lens shade extension seems to really help as this is the best data I have had that actually shows the dim dust well.

Details
Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F2.8L at f3.5 with external aperture. ISO 1600.
Two panels exposures 20x(15s, 30s, 60s and 120s). The second panel only had nine exposures at 120s due to early morning cloud.

Large Image 7MB. FOV 6.5 x 6.0 degrees.

I was not going to put this up but it may be some time before I get another chance to collect more data.

Nice
packed with pinpoint stars!
I see what you mean regards re data, more will reduce the faint noise but it looks nice as is.
It's getting desperate these clouds have to give sometime!

Managed to get two more frames.

Large Image FoV 8.8 X 6.4 degrees 5.5MB

I am going to start again with Antares at the exact center of panel_1 as it is causing too many annoying internal reflections in the lens. It also makes it hard to match panels seamlessly. At least from this image you can see it all looks very promising.
