Moon images 24-03-2010 with 1 close-up

Hi,

Just managed to get this image in in a short space of time before clouds started setting and have not yet since dispersed. Actually my sharpest image was created at 5:00pm on the 24th and was manipulated slightly. Learn't a few more things about registax and applied them to get a better sharpness to a close-up shot of Apennine Mountain, with Eratosthenes crater.

The closeup image had a lot more FOV but being a DOB without tracking I was limited to cutting sections after registax.

I think this is going to be about the best focus I am going to acheive with my set-up currently and will now look at making changes to track or EQ across. I also hope to go back to using webcam imaging as I am sure with a total of 131 shots I will more than likely get premature shutter failure.
  1. Original shot at 5:00pm - I believe if I had a shroud on my DOB would look different.
  2. Processed shot but not much using registax, mostly from Canon utility.
  3. Close-up shot taken 9:00pm just prior to clouds coming over. 131 shot only 14 used for registax.
Thanks for looking
