NGC 6523 - The Lagoon

heres one from lastnight.
had the UHC filter in for this one.
3 hours 40mins of data (22x 10min)


50% version (1.3mb)

Fantastic image and with a UHC. What make of filter? I was going to use my Astronomic UHC this weekend on my 350D.

hey Frank, i use a Baader UHC-S filter.
works really well on nebulae BUT kills star colours

even though it gets imaged to death its still one of my favourites.
its just a beautiful nebula with the structures and the dust through it and im really happy with how the image turned out.

Yes the Lagoon is imaged a lot but when done well, like here, it's a pleasure to look at
