!C-447 and friends

Tom beat me in posting a image of this one and I havn`t seen many pictures around of this one here or elsewhere on the net. It`s a interesting area in Monoceros not far from the cone foxfur nebs.
Wanted to get 2 nights of this one but the weather turned on me and with the moon havn`t had the chance to get some more subs.
Managed to get 26 x 5 min iso 1000 with the 40D and 8" newt. Not much showed in the subs and they looked a little noisey (done not long after modding the 40D) and had some banding from a crappy power supply, so didn`t bother with it till last week. Actually supprised in what I managed to get out of this set.
Anyway here`s the pic. Around 500ks in size and at 50% resolution..
cheers and clear skies..

That is very good! Love the colours, and at ISO 1000 very low nosie. Something to aspire to!

Stunning work Gary.. I can only imagine how nice it would have been with the extra nights data added too it... These dusty targets really require a bashing to get the depth and details in the dust as seen in Toms' amazing images..

All the fundamentals are perfectly controlled in your image.. Composition, guiding, focus, processing...

Great stuff.. I can't wait to do this one for myself.. Its on the list for next summer..
