TV Series V
Anyone else getting into the new TV series 'V'...what did you think of the premier last Sunday night.
I was a fan of the 80's series and have been looking forward to this remake...so far I am hooked.

Anything with Morena Baccarin is automatically required watching.

I think they let the reptile bit slip too soon. There's at least 4 generations who have no knowledge of V. And to spoil such a fine plot device.......Tsk. Tsk.
The priest is, if not he worst actor in the world, his close realtion.
Morrena whats-her-name is devastating tho.'
No rats were eaten. Its the one memorable scene of the OS.
I liked the very post-modernist, self-referential bit of the two kids talking in a TV interview about plot plagiarism.
All in all, OK but no BSG. 5/10 so far.
Also!
I'm getting bored of seeing Vancouver and/or Toronto substituting for every other city in the world. I always see my old Uni. (The Quad at SFU, designed by Arthur Erikson. Its in most SG1s and a few BSGs) and twice I've seen two of my old apartments. One from the inside. I know, as I still own it and you can bet I didn't see a cent of per-diem from the guy who leases it. Have to up his rent this year!
Anyway. If water-guzzling aliens had landed in Vancouver, Mummy would have phoned.

I like it so far, seems to have potential, but not as good as the original series. Must admit, showing the reptile stuff so early was a bit of a let down, the previous series, as I recall, you had to wait some time for this to come out!
Apparently there are only 4 episodes so far, more later in the year.
As for Vancouver, I am waiting to see Gas Town....

I liked it to a point but they let out too much in the first episode, not just reptile.

Is a bit "meh." Not as good as the original series, and certainly not on a par with the BSG remake.

I've watched the first 4 episodes (thanks uncle torrent) and so far I would say "meh".
Not bad, not good, just ok.
I agree they reveal the whole reptile thing way to early. Anyone who saw the original knows what the deal is but there would many who wouldn't know the aliens dirty little secret. Strange choice, but oh well.

I agree with the "meh" comments.
I thought it might have good prospects, but ended up saying to my wife at the end "I think I've seen this story before haven't I?" because it was all so "recipe based", same old same old. And it turned out to be more violence and conflict than I feel like having my head filled with in my free time right now
