Vela HA Mosaic Now with SIX Panels

Managed to get three panels before cloud intterrupted play.

Panel Details

Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F2.8 at f/3.5. Astronomik 13nm HA filter.
Exposures 20x240s at 1600 ISO, fridge at -10.0C.

Medium image 6MB. FOV 12x8 degrees.

I will just keep going and get more panels in HA and O3 and colour to make a full colour mosaic of as large an area as possible.

Nice work Bert. The image looks like it has been inverted.

Thanks for the comments all. Mike I think now at last I can get a decent mosaic of this area. Large mosaics show how stunningly complex these regions are.

Managed another two panels last night, I will have to recollect panel1 (center left). The Moon was reflecting from the inside of the lens shade.

Medium image here 4.5MB FOV 12x12 degrees.
