Oh yeah lol. Its been comin' down all over in places that had forgotten what real rain was all about. The Channel Country is really living up to it name this week. Or maybe they should just call it "Half of Queensland Underwater" Country. There have been some big falls out that way. A couple of hundred mm predicted for here tomorrow

My boys won't be going to school tomorrow.
I was lucky to be able to get my youngest to his primary school, the causeways were both flowing.
If Kilcoy Bridge goes under, well, there won't be any high school either.

6 inches of rain overnight 5 meters of water coming down Bungil Creek and this is out my front door this morning.

The water is 18 inches deep and lapping 1/2 way to my front door and more rain coming (just hope my insurance policy is good)

Good luck Adrian. Fingers crossed the water finds a way out and not through everyone's houses.

I'm fortunate I'm high and dry (though my creeks are roaring). No getting to work today though.

Kilcoy Bridge went under a little while ago. Gosh it's quiet now there's no cars or trucks about.
It was busy this morning at work, people coming in to buy up on staples.

The water is now 18 inches deep in my yard and rising. Water is under the house but we are one of the lucky ones as our house is 8 feet above ground level, we have opened up the house for anyone in the street to take refuge. I am stuck at work and my wife is stuck at home and we are both very worried as the local council is expecting the biggest flood in Roma's history. According to the flood maps I have access to water was 3 feet deep in my yard in 1932 (not sure of date as part of it is mouse affected). The highway is now cut in town with 18 inches of water over the road.
Just looking at BOM and the rain appears to have eased north of Roma but there is still alot of runoff to come.

Flooded in at the moment , half a meter or more over chinaman creek and rising, I am in no danger as I am about 20 meters above the creek
I have lots of food but I don't think the creek will be up for more than a couple of days that will, so nothing to worry about.
85mm overnight and more to come

I took the image this morning but not long after that the water receeded and was clear.
I had a phone call about 3 hours later to say that water was again coming down the road and by the time I drove 2k the water had risen enough for the SES to close the road and threaten me with arrest if I tried to go around the barricade (not that I would anyway). I value my life and I know my wife will be ok with a house full of people (10 at last count).
