Another job interview.

Well, I'm off to yet another job interview. This time as a farm-hand. Standard farm-hand wages with a 4 bedroom brick house/work-ute/meat/etc chucked in. If I get it that means I'll be moving from my current place of abode in the small town of Cummins SA to 'up further north' out in the middle of nowhere.....& THAT means even darker skies!!

I need a break here, been unemployed for close on 7 mths.

Here's hoping & touch wood etc etc!

The guy wanted me to just fax my resume etc to him but I sugested I drive the 1 hour or so to his place so he could 'check me out' in person....(& vice-versa)

Another interview as supervisor of yet another tuna processing factory next week if I fail with the farm-hand.

Good luck Asi...

Surely ... the law of averages suggests that with every job you apply for ... you're getting closer to landing one of 'em????

Maybe this is the one, matey. I hope so.

Hi & thanks guys. I'm hoping for this farm job! Sounds good & I've done it before. The tuna processing job is in Port Lincoln (25-30000 people....my home town) I have NO intention of living there again...I'd rather drive the 130 km round trip each day If I land that job.

I'm back from the interview & quite frankly, I think I did ok (so does my wife whom I took with me to the interview). He seemed pretty impressed with my qualifications & was talking like I already had the job..but like he said, "It doesn't really matter what your qualifications are, I'm looking for a person with the right attitude"..hopefully I presented that to him. The bloke & his wife were very nice folk & I look forward to working for them. He has 2 more guys to interview & I guess the best man will win. Now it's time to play the waiting game.

I wanna thank you guys for all your well wishes on this, means a lot to me. I am sending forth that positive thinking to my new boss saying i'm the best man.....forget the other guys that may have better 'qualifications'!...CHOOSE ME! CHOOSE ME!

At least that's the theory anyhow..
