Comparison of 100 deg eyepieces

Have just become acquainted with this article. Content is interesting (but I do not understand German ). More fun is the English translation which has been put through the Google translation machine. A delightful read!

http://www.svenwienstein.de/HTML/14m...ic_-_13mm.html

http://translate.google.com/translat...ml&sl=de&tl=en

Example:- "The rest of the homework, of course, consist of the physical dimensions. With 877g is the Scientific Explore a real block. Only in this way contribute to the Ethos 571g downright easy. Explore Scientific 155mm length of the attack are beyond my caliper. It remains just below 70 mm in diameter."

I think the German makes more sense than that English "translation"

The one big disadvantage of the ES14 in comparison to the Ethos is indeed the weight factor. With the ES14 been 300g heavier, it is quite a difference (I can barely use the ES14 even with counterweights on my 10" LB). Optically though they are very similar and unless your an expert at the eyepiece you won't notice the difference.

I assume that is the new prototype Tele Vue paracorr he is talking about?
A reduction of 16% to 6% magnification factor sounds good.

That's fantastic. Who needs comedy when you can have Google translate for you?
